Conference arrangements and attendees
YC’s February 2025 announcement described the inaugural AI Startup School as a free conference for 2,000 selected students, graduates and applicants with relevant technical achievements. Each attendee was to be selected individually.[2]
The announced speakers included Sam Altman, Andrew Ng and Andrej Karpathy. Apply U recorded its team member’s selection in a Xiaohongshu announcement and a WeChat article.[1][2][3]
Product background
The WeChat article also described Apply U’s product work connecting study-abroad decisions with career planning through large language models, or LLMs, and multi-agent systems. It named the matching approach the “6D” model.[3]
The product overview covered AI analysis alongside mentor guidance, as well as API access and tailored deployments for schools and education providers.[3]
